Turboprop aircraft offer impressive performance compared to piston aircraft. With turbine engines driving propellers, turboprops can cruise at speeds approaching 300 mph with a typical range around 1,000 miles nonstop. This makes them ideal for short and medium distance flights. An additional benefit is their ability to operate from short runways, allowing access to more airports.
